GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE
Information about your right to receive an estimate of expected charges before beginning care.
Important note:
This page is for general information and is not a substitute for a personalized Good Faith Estimate. If you are uninsured or choosing not to use insurance, you may request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling services.
1. Your right to a Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, health care providers are required to provide a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges to individuals who are uninsured or who are choosing not to use insurance for scheduled health care services.
A Good Faith Estimate explains the expected cost of items or services that are reasonably expected for your care based on information known at the time the estimate is created. The actual services or charges may differ if your needs change or if additional services are requested.
2. When you may receive an estimate
You may receive a Good Faith Estimate after scheduling services or upon request if you are uninsured or choosing not to use insurance. The estimate is intended to help you understand expected costs before beginning care.
3. What the estimate may include
A Good Faith Estimate may include expected charges for the primary service and other services that are reasonably expected as part of your care. It may not include unexpected or unknown costs that arise later.
4. Questions about costs
If you have questions about expected costs, payment options, or whether a Good Faith Estimate applies to your situation, please contact TrueBridge before beginning services.
5. If your bill is higher than expected
If you receive a bill that is substantially higher than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have rights under the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.
